gratitude goes to all my supporters. Thank you for making this widget possible!
Currently Supported Cities
The Auto-Bus widget uses city specific javascript files to provide bus time information
for each city. To monitor bus stops of a particular transit system, specify the file's
location in the Auto-Bus widget's welcome dialog or in the general preferences page.
Below is a list of cities for which functional and tested files have been created.
These files can be downloaded from the widget's SourceForge
downloads page.
- Montreal, Quebec, Canada (included with widget)
- Brighton & Hove, UK
- Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
- Phenix, Arizona, US
- Portland, Oregon, US
- Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, Canada
City File Requests
If your city is not in the list above, check the
City File Requests tracker. Make sure that all the drop down boxes say "Any" and click browse.
If your city is there, add your vote by adding a comment to the appropriate tracker item.
If there is no city file request for your city or transit system, submit a city file request
using the
City File Requests Tracker System provided by SourceForge.
I strongly recommend that your sign in to your SourceForge account
(
create a SourceForge account)
before using the system. Although it is not mandatory, it will allow you to receive
automatic notification of updates to your request, so that you don't have to remember to check
this web site all the time.
Make your own city file
Alternatively you may make the city file yourself, using the
included Montreal.js as a template. (This file will be extracted from the widget into the
widget data folder upon first use.) If you do create a functional city file that you would
like to share, you may email it to the Auto-Bus mailing list (Make sure it's working
perfectly first though), or if you would like it to be reviewed and approved before and
then posted in the project's downloads section, submit a city file request (see above)
with your file attached.
Request a feature or enhancement
If you have any ideas for making the widget better,
please submit a feature request using the
Feature Requests Tracker System
provided by SourceForge.
Report a bug
If you find anything that isn't working as it should, or notice that the widget fetches
information from the web too often, please submit a bug using the
Bug Tracker System
provided by SourceForge. Make sure to attach the city specific javascript file you were
using to the bug description.

If you have any questions about how to use the Auto-Bus widget, feel free to post
